I skim/read hundreds of blogs each week and have yet to find one that meets the needs of American mothers living abroad, specifically in Spain. My hope is to become a resource for many women out there like me.
"Bibi" is the Spanish term for bottle, short for biberón, sort of the equivalent of "baba" in the U.S. A lot of my commentary will be bilingual, just like my life as a Mommy in Spain. It trips me out to think that there are some words I have learned in Spanish strictly due to my motherhood!
As of February 2012, 60% of my readers are in the U.S. and 30% are in Spain, and most of you come to me via Facebook and my MumAbroad interview. That sounds about right...
My goals with this blog are to share at least one thing daily, either discoveries I make online or sharing details on a personal project. Some topics I have in mind are:
-Thought flows on heavy topics like raising bilingual children, surviving miscarriage, etc.
-Home decor ideas I come across on the world wide web and my own projects in our little living space
-Sharing things I have discovered that make my life easier in hopes it will help make yours easier as well
-Recipes and other entertaining-related ideas
-Party themes and planning ideas
-Fashion and shopping tips (online and local to Seville, for both mommy and kids)
-My own personal experiences as a mother
And much more to come...!
The photos on this blog are mine unless otherwise credited, so please do the same and credit me if you borrow any of my images. Photos of Manuela must not be used without prior permission.
I would love to hear from you if you would like to collaborate (guest blog) or if you would like for me to cover something specific. Just drop me a comment here.
Thanks for dropping by Babbles and Bibis!
